Frequently asked questions

Is hypnotherapy the same as what I have seen at the theatre or on the TV?

Quite simply, no. More than likely the form of Hypnosis you are referring to is for entertainment purposes and is not what takes place in the therapy room. During Hypnotherapy the client is in full control at all times and will not be made to do things against their will.

Will I be asleep?

No, you will be in more of a ‘trance state’ that has been induced by the hypnotist.

Will I be aware of everything that is going on around me?

Yes, you will.

Does hypnotherapy work?

Yes, it does. The British Medical Association has been formally studying and verifying it since 1892.

What are the benefits of Hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy has consistently helped patients with obesity, PTSD, anxiety, smoking cessation and many other addictions /phobias quickly with some patients only requiring a few or even just one session.
